Last Post of the Year

I’m taking a break.

I’m putting down the camera, and just stepping away for a time.

Creatively, I’ve been in a very dark place for the previous couple of months – barely able to muster the ambition to even get out and do any photography.

I feel I’m just spinning my wheels. I work hard at what I do, but I just can’t seem to get any traction with my work.

Yes, I’m creating quality work, but the forces that be (thank you Facebook & Instagram) are actively working to limit my reach and impact.

My Facebook page has 3.6k followers, and I can’t seem to get more than a handful of likes on even my best photos.

These people subscribed, and yet, largely, they aren’t seeing my work.

I find this to be 100% unacceptable.

Why is this the case? I wish I knew.

Does Facebook want money?

Yes!

That seems to to be the most likely reason – they offer me the opportunity to boost my posts (for a small fee) continually.

Well, Facebook, just so we are clear – I will NOT pay!!

Bottom line? My subscribers should see my work, and that’s all there is to it.

But I’m not quitting.

Oh no!

I’m taking these last couple of weeks of the year to reevaluate, put together a plan, and come back stronger and more powerful in the new year.

Merry Christmas my friends. I love you all, thank you for your attention, and I’ll see you in 2022!!!
