I’ve had two great passions in my lifetime – football and photography.
Football was the passion of my youth.
As a youngster I loved football, and everything about it. When I wasn’t playing it, I was thinking about playing it. I was the kid who would come home from football practice, and run more wind sprints in the back yard. Night and day, day and night – I couldn’t get enough.
Regretfully, I allowed a high school coach to ruin it for me, and I quit.
When that passion abruptly ended, I drifted through decades of my life with no passion – with nothing of substance to ignite the fire within me.
Then, almost by accident, I discovered photography.
Gradually, photography has become the great passion of my life today.
Photography keeps me sane, it’s therapy for me. Through my viewfinder, the world drops away, along with all of it’s cares and concerns, and there is only that moment.
Even on the darkest of days, photography reminds me that there is still beauty to be found in the world.
This time I won’t allow anybody to ruin it for me, and I will never quit.

Happy Monday All. Whatever your passion may be, get after it.
