The moon marks off the seasons,
and the sun knows when to go down.
Psalm 104:19
So there I was, outside shooting the moon on this first night of Autumn.
When I came in, and saw what I had captured, I realized I had achieved a major goal in my photographic journey –
a crystal clear nighttime photo of the moon.
When I look at this photo, I’m filled with a profound sense of accomplishment as I see can see, with my very own eyes, my ability as a photographer developing and expanding.
And it never would have happened if I hadn’t made the recent switch to shooting in manual mode (read about it here). It was a defining moment, and my photography will never be the same.
Now I just can’t wait until the next full moon 😉
Lovely shot and congratulations in your accomplisment. There is a full blood moon tonight 😉
