The ancient sky bears witness
Cloaking the scene in brilliant majesty
As a remnant from another time
Is slowly claimed by the hands of eternity.

As I gaze upon this scene, a striking combination of the eternal and the temporal, it seems I recognize myself.
Like the old dock, which is slowly decaying into the bay, so is the temporal vessel that is my earthly body.
And yet, just like the ancient earth and sky, eternal in it’s nature, so is the eternal being that is the larger part of me – my true nature.
One day the temporal will be gone and forgotten. And yet the eternal will live on forever.
Oh yes, I recognize myself in this scene.
