This is a photo I’ve had in mind for a while now. I’ve just been waiting for the sky to be right. Yesterday was the day.
And while the photo didn’t turn out exactly as I’d hoped, I love the remarkable contrast between the dazzling sky overhead, eternal and alive, and the gloomy old barn below, desolate and forgotten, as it slowly decays into the earth.
It brings to mind a scripture –
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. ~ Colossians 3:2
Judging strictly by yesterday’s photo, and the stark reality between the eternal and the temporal, I can see why.
