Out of my pocket and into the jar. Day in, day out. No exceptions.
I can almost hear what you might be thinking –
A piddly dollar? Are you kidding? What good is that going to do? That’s laughable!
Exactly! It’s so small that it’s laughable.
But is it really?
For a guy who has been mindbogglingly foolish with his money, this is no laughing matter. Each dollar that goes into that jar represents a purposeful step away from decades of foolishness and in the direction of greater financial wisdom and better money habits moving forward.
In addition, what if with every dollar I drop into that jar I incrementally increase in character traits such as these?
- Personal initiative
- Personal responsibility
- Personal integrity
Nothing to laugh at on that list.
There is power in small actions taken consistenly (daily). And for those of us whose action taking muscles have weakened due to their lack of use, there simply is no other effective way to change.
Are you stuck?
Do something laughably small!
Then do it again and again and again and again.
Days to dollars, I’m at 5 (and ever increasing 😉 )
